Nile Street, London, N1 2 bed apartment - £5,000 pcm (£1,154 pw)

The Factory is one of East London’s most iconic warehouse conversions. This second-floor, double-aspect lateral loft spans over 1,550 sq ft (approx.) with 1 bed plus study/guest room and 2 baths. Designed with authenticity and character in mind, the building was originally transformed by the Manhattan Loft Corporation in 1997—one of the pioneering conversions that helped define the area’s distinctive industrial to residential aesthetic.

Once a bustling Edwardian textiles warehouse, The Factory remains a striking example of redbrick architecture, centred around a tranquil courtyard that contrasts beautifully with the energy of nearby Shoreditch. Each apartment, originally sold as a “shell and core” space, tells its own story—no two are alike.

Accessed from Nile Street, a glass lift glides through the courtyard to a wood-clad external walkway leading to the apartment’s entrance—an inviting corner position facing south and west, flooding the space with light.

Inside, the hallway offers clever storage, a guest shower room, and an internal study or second bedroom, opening out into a spectacular open-plan living and dining area.

The sheer scale and brightness of this loft are striking. Exposed redbrick walls, double-glazed Crittall windows, and warm timber floors frame an expansive living space complete with a fully integrated kitchen and breakfast bar—perfect for entertaining.

To the southeast side, the principal bedroom features a generous walk-in wardrobe/dressing area and a luxurious en suite bathroom with large bath. The apartment also comes with a secure underground parking space—a rare and valuable asset in this sought-after location.

Ideally positioned just off City Road, Nile Street is a short 4-minute walk from Old Street station and surrounded by a rich mix of restaurants, bars, and cultural venues. Sitting quietly between Shoreditch, Islington, and Clerkenwell, The Factory offers the best of all worlds: a peaceful, tucked-away setting within one of East London’s most vibrant and historically layered neighbourhoods.
